Philly Dragons are excited to offer Fall Baseball and Quickball this upcoming Fall! 

Goal Statement:   PDSA's Fall Baseball League will promote increasing baseball knowledge, skill and ability through a combination of instructional clinics and game play. Learning will be reinforced through repetition of correct techniques and demonstration of general baseball principles. 

Quickball will be for players age 3, 4, and 5. We also will be welcoming TBall players, who just completed their first year of TBall, to participate in Quickball as well. This will be held on every Sunday, 11am-11:50am at Shot Tower this Fall. This 9 week season, is open to all. More details to follow, and the first event will be Sunday, September 10th.

PDSA Rec Fall Baseball. The current three PDSA baseball groups - AAA, Minors, and Majors are eligible. Current 6 year old players who played TBall this year, and will be in AAA in Spring 2024 can also participate. Current 12 year old players who just finished their Majors season, are also welcomed to play.  

When: Sunday Mornings, 8am - 12pm.  Exact schedule for specifics on field time assignments, will be sent when teams are formed. Most of the players will be assigned for a clinic or game, either 8am-10am OR 10am - noon. Based on feedback from last year, teams will be formed before the first clinic AND teams will attend their clinics together. Team assignments will be communicated before the season starts.

Fields that will be used: FDR1, FDR2, FDR3, Shot Tower and / or Chew Playground. Batting cages of FDR will also be used.

Week 1 - 9/10.  Practice and Clinics

Week 2 - 9/17   Practice and Clinics, Potentially Game Play

Week 3 - 9/24   Game Play

Week 4 - 10/1   Team by team decision, for an optional practice

Week 5 - 10/8   Game Play

Week 6 - 10/15  Game Play

Week 7 - 10/22  Game Play OR optional team by team practice. 

Week 8 - 10/29  Game Play 

Week 9 - 11/5.   Game Play and Playoffs

Week 10 - 11/12 Playoffs and Championship Sunday

Week 11 - 11/19 (only if needed, if there are many rainouts / cancellations)

Full details of the season will be communicated by the end of August, but the dates and location are set and will not change.  We acknowledge the Fall can be a busy season, and chose to have Fall Ball early on Sundays, to allow for other activities for families after baseball AND also did not want to conflict with PDSA Flag Football on Saturday mornings.
